CERTIFICATE OF COMPETENCY IN NIRD & COSMECEUTICALS

Gain formal recognition that sets you apart in 2025

The College’s competency certification pathway gives Full Members the chance to formalise their knowledge through a single, structured exam. Combined with your existing Injectables certification, these credentials open the door to applying for Fellowship. That means joining an elite tier of practitioners with permission to use the FCPCA post-nominal and promote this achievement across platforms. Showcase your qualifications in your clinic and communications. And let your patients see your commitment to clinical excellence.

Certificate of Competency (Theory) Use of Energy-based and Non-ionising Radiation Devices & Cosmeceuticals

Until the College’s AQF Level 8 (or higher) Graduate Diploma in Cosmetic Medicine is open for enrolment, the College will be offering full members the opportunity to gain Certificates of Competency (Theory) in the use of Non-ionising Radiation Devices & Cosmeceuticals.

These two certificates will be gained via a one-step, MCQ exam process.

The full member who attains the College’s three Certificates of Competency:

  • Injectables (Theory & Application)
  • Non-ionising Radiation Devices (Theory)
  • Cosmeceuticals (Theory)

May then apply to the Membership Committee for Fellowship of the College (with annual fee $2200 incl. GST).

To attain Fellowship, the full member will need to be assessed as meeting a higher level of capability in cosmetic injectables and in the other areas of cosmetic medical practice, especially in NIR devices.

If granted Fellowship, the Fellow would then be entitled to use the post-nominal, FCPCA, and advertise this achievement, according to College Policy, via their various digital platforms and stationery. The Certificates can be displayed in their treatment rooms and referenced in all promotional material. This will serve to demonstrate to their patients they are skilled in these areas and have had those skills assessed by their peers.

It is important that the applicant who successfully achieves these Certificates and accepts the offer of Fellowship is aware of the compulsory membership requirements that a Fellow must meet to maintain this membership level. These include the annual and triennial CME & CPD requirements reportable via the CPCA CPD Wizard. You are welcome to contact cpca@cpca.net.au for further information.
